Dilek Yüksel was born in Tokat, Niksar on 26 May 1977. Her father’s name is İbrahim and her mother’s name is Nermin. She is a child of educator parents.

Mrs. Yüksel is an economist by profession. She has completed Gazi University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Economics. She has taken banking and economy training in Banking Law and Research Institute.

She worked as the Director of Samsun Atakum Municipality’s Press and Public Relations Department. She served as the Chief of Mamak Municipality’s Culture Branch.

She has entered to the politics in 2002 by taking a part as a Member of the Board in AK Party’s Samsun Provincial Administration. In 2005 she has completed 5th term of the AK Party Ankara Political Academy. She was a Member of the Board in AK Party’s Ankara Provincial Administration from 2005 to 2007. She had been elected as a Member of Parliament for the 23rd and 24th legislative terms from Tokat province.

In 23rd legislative term of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (GNAT), she was a member of the Committee on State Economic Enterprises. Dilek Yüksel served both as a member and the Spokesperson of The Committee on National Defence and member of the Committee on Equal Opportunity for Women and Men, Chairperson of the sub-committee on Enhancement of Women's Employment in All Fields and Suggestions for Solution in the 24th legislative term. Dilek Yüksel was elected as a Secretary Member of the Bureau of the GNAT for the 24th legislation term.

Mrs. Yüksel has advanced knowledge of English. Mrs. Yüksel is married and has two child.
